Gloria Dean Anderson

November 16, 1963 — April 28, 2023

Gloria was born on November 16, 1963 in Helena, Arkansas to the union of James and Ella Mae McMullen. Both parents preceded her in death.

Gloria professed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. She was baptized in Snow Lake by the late Rev. S. L. George at St. Luke’s Missionary Baptist Church.

Gloria grew up in Helena, Arkansas where she had many friends. She graduated with the Class of 1982 from Central High School in West Helena, Arkansas.

Gloria married the love of her life, Earnest Anderson on January 21, 1984. In 1985, Gloria and Earnest decided to move to Osawatomie, Kansas. They raised their children here.

Gloria also gained a Bonus Dad in 1984, when her Mom married Joseph Dunbar (who recently preceded her in death). They shared a special bond and spoke on a weekly basis.

Gloria worked as a Licensed Mental Health Technician at the Osawatomie State Hospital until she became disabled. Gloria was very knowledgeable in the medical field and shared her wisdom freely. She volunteered in many community organizations. She met many friends and children who affectionately called her Nana or Mama Glo.

Gloria was a member of the Friendship Faith Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Leroy McConico.

Gloria was most proud of her children and grandchildren. She loved them dearly. She spoke nothing but positivity in their lives and supported them in any way possible.

She leaves to cherish her memory:
