Harold Dean Robinson, 86, Osawatomie, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at North Point Professional Care Center in Paola, Kansas.
Born April 4, 1936, in Osawatomie, he was the second of five children of Carl and Marjorie Adams Robinson. He was a 1954 graduate of Osawatomie High School.
Mr. Robinson did several jobs out of high school before becoming an auto body and paint technician with his brother Carlos at the Ford Motor dealership in Osawatomie. The dealership went out of business due to a fire in the mid 70’s. From there he went to work as an Operator Technician for Panhandle Eastern pipeline in Louisburg until his retirement in the late 90’s.
Harold was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, the National Rifle Association, and a member of Ebeneezer Baptist Church in Osawatomie. He also had an engineering passion.
Those preceding him in death include his father and mother, Carl and Marjorie; two brothers, Herbert and Carlos; and his, sister Betty.
Survivors include Clayton Robinson, brother, of Osawatomie; Albert and Pam Robinson-Whitaker, niece (Kansas City, Kansas); Kim Robinson-Winton, niece (Olathe); Brian and Brenda Robinson, nephew; (Olathe), Robin Robinson, niece (Osawatomie); Clayton Robinson Jr., nephew (Gladstone, MO); and Ron and Lisa Robinson-Taylor, niece (Paola). Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Eddy Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie with burial at Osawatomie Cemetery. Pallbearers include Joshua Taylor, Lukas Robinson, Damian Tolbert, Jason Whitaker, Clayton Robinson Jr., and Brian Robinson.
The Robinson family would like to thank all of Harold’s friends that he has met along his journey and the staff at North Point Professional Care Center in Paola that cared for him during his final days. He will be missed dearly but we know that faith in our savior will reunite us in God’s Kingdom that is yet to come for us all.
