Jack Worthin Miller age 93 of Paola, KS died Sunday May 5, 2019 at Life Care Center of Osawatomie.
Jack was born January 7, 1926 to Frank W. & Francis E. (Pharo) Miller in Stratford, Iowa. He graduated from Marshalltown High school in 1943.
After high school, Jack served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He met Anola M. Lura and they were wed on November 27, 1947.
Jack worked as a commercial artist in Newton, IA for a number of years. Then moved with his wife to Kansas City where he attended and graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1953, with a degree in Commercial Design.
After working in the advertising field with several agencies, he served as advertising manager for the Vendo Company for a number of years. He then had his own commercial art studio “Designers Two” (D2) until his retirements.
Jack and Anola moved to acerage in Paola, Kansas after they retired. Jack enjoyed boating, water sking, sporty cars, dancing with Anola, playing cards and riding his tractor. He was a member of the American Legion for many years and the secretary of the Industrial Advertising club. He was also a member of the Moodglow Dance Club.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Anola.
Survivors include their two children, Darcy (Jim) O’Keefe of Lenexa, KS and Todd Miller of Paola, KS. Two grandchildren, Kelly O’Keefe and Lindsay (Brian) Walker. Along with other family and friends.
