James L. Shultz, 81, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 in Wichita Falls. He was born on March 15, 1937 in Osawatomie, KS to the late Jerome Shultz and Martha Ford Shultz. On January 19, 1962 he married Judi Baumstimler in Miami, OK. Mr. Shultz retired from the United States Air Force as a CMsgt after 30 years of service. He was involved in Scouting for 40 years and enjoyed woodworking and bread making and was referred to as “Uncle Jim” by those that loved and knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judi Shultz of Wichita Falls; one son, Jason L. Shultz and wife Cassandra of Arlington, TX; son-in-law, Pat Galbraith of Derby, KS; brother, Bill Shultz and wife Evelyn of Potwin, KS; three sisters, Grace Bennet of Paola, KS, Helen McDaniel of Olathe, KS and Georgia Drew and husband Dick of Middletown, NY; brothers and sisters-in-law, Janice and Dale Evans, John and Norma Baumstimler, Jane and Dave Couture, Nita and Sam Harter, Jodi and Marty Alley and deceased Joyce and Richard Atchison; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Janet Galbraith, one brother, Stanley Shultz and one sister, Dora Ruth Shultz.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home in Wichita Falls, TX and Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie, KS.
