Jan Louise Mcdill

Jan Louise McDill age 69 of Paola, KS died Wednesday October 23, 2024 at Olathe Medical Center.

Jan was born January 12, 1955 in Paola, KS. She was one of two born to Floyd Thomas Jr and Delores June (Lloyd) Cook. She attended school in Osawatomie, where she graduated with the Osawatomie Class of 1973.

During high school and then after graduation, Jan worked for JcPenny’s in Osawatomie. She then worked in housekeeping at Eastgate for a short time. She met Robert McDill and they were married on May 25, 1979 at their home in Paola, KS. To this union came two children; Lacey and Shane.

Jan enjoyed baking chocolate zucchini bread, cookies, cakes and candy. She was known for her layered salad. Jan’s favorite thing was spending time with her grandchildren, children and taking care of Bob.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Lacey and her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Bob McDill of the home, son Shane and wife Stacy McDill of Spring Hill, KS, son-in law Joey McMullen of Spring Hill, KS, four grandchildren; Sawyer McDill, Sage McDill, Soren McDill and Preslee McMullen. Jan is also survived by her brother and sister in law Scott and Becky Cook of Shawnee, KS , other family and many friends.
