Jeren Je'Von Hinton, age 35, of Olathe KS, ascended to his heavenly home on May 24, 2021.
He was born in Paola, KS to the parents of Johnny Lloyd Hinton and Janet Lynn Platz, on February 28, 1986. From the beginning, he was special! Quiet, yet observant; he didn’t talk until he was two years old, but he absorbed all that he heard. How do we know? Because when he finally opened his mouth and spoke, it was in complete sentences!
Jeren grew up and attended school in Osawatomie, KS. Jeren loved watching and supporting the Kansas City Chiefs, trying his luck at the casino, fishing, cracking jokes every two minutes, being an amazing father and spending time with family and friends.
Jeren attended church throughout his life and formally accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in 2018.
Jeren is survived by his parents, his daughter: Taylor Rayne, three sisters: Tamika, Brea and MaKenzie, one brother: Keith, three nephews: Jaylen, Tay and Skylar, and five nieces: Nneka, Anissa, Kayla, Ski'Lyn and L'Liea. Grandparents Willie and Flora Hinton, Aunts Debbie Platz, Connie Jarisch, Dorthene Turner, Lutishia Lovely and Marcella Hinton, one Uncle, Kenneth Hinton, and a host of cousins and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Walter and Ellen Platz, and one cousin, Stacey Glenn.
On behalf of the entire family, we would like to thank each and every one of you for your calls, texts, donations, visits, kind words and generosity. We also want to thank you for always treating and accepting Jeren as one of your own. He loved each and every one of you! And in the famous words of JQ ...."YEEEEEE!"
