Juanita J. Mcmullin.... Age 91

Juanita J. (Kerr) McMullin , 91, passed quietly to join the Lord, her husband, George W. (Bill) and her son, Brett A. She will also join 1 grandson, 1 great-granddaughter, 11 siblings and many other family members who preceded her in death. She was the daughter of Maurice S. (Buzz) Kerr and Gladys N. (Nichols) Kerr.

A native of Morning Sun, Iowa, Juanita married Bill on March 20, 1947 and had lived in the Morning Sun/Mediapolis area for some time before moving to Missouri. Tired of the cold winters she and Bill retired to Alamo, Texas. After Bill passed in 2006, Juanita went back to Morning Sun for a short time before moving to Kansas to be near her children, Doug McMullin of Wellsville, KS, Pam Little of Shawnee, KS, Glen McMullin of Tonganoxie, KS, Brett ( now deceased ) of Ottawa, KS and all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The last 4 years she has lived at Homestead Memory Care in Olathe, Kansas, with Alzheimer’s. She lead a Wonderful life everywhere she was… with the most beautiful flower beds, golfing in the sunshine of South Texas and entertaining (fabulous cook!) many who would come to visit. Even the last years at Homestead she had a beautiful life, cute little apartment, loved the staff, who treated her like family and would join in the activities, especially crafts.

A private family service will be held.  She will be missed…but we know that she is healed, at peace… and not alone.  June 9, 1929 to December 26, 2020
