Kristopher Shane Thomey

Kristopher Shane Thomey age 47 of Osawatomie, KS died Sunday September 8, 2024 at Olathe Medical Center.

Shane was born March 22, 1977 in Conway, Arkansas. He was eldest of two born to Marietta Sue Martin. Shane attended school in Morrilton, Arkansas until they moved to Miami County where he attended Osawatomie and Central Heights where he graduated with the class of 1995.

After high school, Shane went to work for Tech Air in Osawatomie. He also worked for his mom’s restaurant, Main St. Café and also Eastgate. In 2007, Shane went to work for the Osawatomie State Hospital. He started as a tech and then transferred to security.

Shane and Deborah DeAnn Chard were married. He gained three step daughters; Katelynn, Nichole and Chelsea. Together the couple had one son, Kristopher Ethan.

In his free time, Shane enjoyed playing Lord’s Mobile, watching the Kansas City Chief’s and NASCAR. He liked to go fishing and going to drag races. Shane was a loving son, amazing friend and great employee.

He was preceded in death by his wife Deborah and step father Bob Knight.

Survivors include his son Ethan Thomey, three step daughters Katelynn Butler, Nichole Butler and Chelsea Butler, mother Marietta Sue Martin and sister Jennifer Arnold. He is also survived by other family and friends.
