Lois Mae Bisig age 89 of Lane, KS died Saturday March 23, 2019 at Olathe Hospice House.
Lois was born July 18, 1929 in Kansas City, MO. She was adopted in 1930 by Homer and Celestia (Essie) Swaim of Overland Park. They attended the First Baptist Church.
She attended Overland Park Grade school and graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1947. She attended Ottawa University for 2 ½ years.
Lois met Bob Bisig at her home church. They were married in Eureka Springs, Ark. December 23, 1950. She was employed as a secretary at Western Retail Hardware Association.
She loved to read, especially the Bible and Christian books. She taught Bible School and a women’s Bible study. She usually played piano or organ for Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home. Lois enjoyed cooking, especially pies and rolls for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, and her parents.
Survivors include Sons Steve (Kathy) of Greeley, CO, Mark (Becky) of St. Louis, MO, Joe Bisig of Raytown, MO and Daughter Sarah (Keith) Davis of Osawatomie, KS. One Brother-in-law Larry Bisig of Lebonon, MO. Ten Grandchildren Karah, Blake, Erika, Jennifer, Al, Marlo, Jake, Justin, Allison and Meredith, two great grandchildren Wylie and Eden. Along with other family and friends.
