Nancy Lynn Oconnell age 55 of Parker, KS died Wednesday October 20, 2021 at Research Medical Center.

Nancy was born February 14, 1966 in Harrisonville, Missouri. She was the sixth of eight children born to Bobby Gene and Nina Rosetta (Barnes) Smith. Nancy was raised in a wonderful Christian home and she loved the lord with all her heart. She grew up in Creighton and Garden City graduating from Adrian High School.

After high school, Nancy went into the work force. She worked in various restaurants as a server and she met lots of people. She also worked at Unitog Corp in Warsaw and she was a cook in the school in Osawatomie, KS. Nancy was a “ray of sunshine” to everyone she met.  In the recent years, Nancy became part owner of Weer’s Window Cleaning.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Amanda “Mandi” Jo Dillon and her mother and father.

Survivors include her son Mathew Dillon; grandchildren Alan James Buren, Robert Leroy Peterson, Graycie Lynn Peterson and Macie McCarthy; partner Marie Hochhalter all of the home; step sons Mason (Virginia) Hochhalter of Parker, KS and Matt (Chanee) Hochhalter of Pleasanton, KS. Siblings; Debbie McVay (Glen) Cleveland, MO, Rob Smith Warsaw, MO, Kathy VanNatta (Rick) Clinton, MO, Dee Reimund(Mark) Lincoln, MO, Teresa Thurman(Bill) Harrisonville, MO, Susan Templeton (Brian) Warsaw, MO, Jon Smith (Amy) Lincoln, MO. Along with nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
