Nina Agatha Evert..... Age 95

Nina Agatha Evert age 95 of Osawatomie, KS died Tuesday November 21, 2017 at Vintage Park of Osawatomie.

Nina was born March 9, 1922 in Osawatomie, Kansas. She was the only child born to Fred Alfred DeHart and Hazel Marie Stanback. However, she was the oldest of thirteen brothers and sisters. She attended school in Paola and graduated with the Paola High School class of 1940.

After high school, Nina and Norval Evert were united in marriage on June 15, 1940 in Miami County. They made their home in Paola, Kansas until 1944 when Norval entered the United States Army and they moved to California.

While living in California, Nina went to work for the local telephone company as an operator. She was an operator until 1947 when Norval got out of the service and she became a house wife. Nina loved to watch her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. The couple moved to Bakersfield, California and lived there until Norval passed in 1986. Nina then moved back to the Miami County area.

Nina like to sew. She made a lot of her own clothing and clothing for others. Nina and Norval liked to take short trips to various places.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Norval, her parents, brothers Jack DeHart, Louis (Ethel) Goodeyon, Lloyd Goodeyon and Floyd Goodeyon. Sisters, Helen Ross, Betty Miller, Peggy DeHart, Maxine (Kenny) Ames and Betty Goodeyon.

Survivors include, Brother, Howard “Buck” (Patricia) Goodeyon of Osawatomie, KS, Joe (Pam) Goodeyon of Grove, OK, sisters, Mary (James “Red) Nichols of Witchita, TX and Rosie O’Brein of Bakersfield, CA. Niece Linda Stevens of Paola, KS. Along with many other nieces and nephews and other family.
