Patricia Dru Conrad age 79 of Garnett, Kansas died Wednesday July 12, 2017 at Richmond Health Care.

Patricia was born March 17, 1938 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was born to Lincoln Churchill & Georgia Wallace (Hays) Gettle. She spent her childhood living in various parts of Arkansas and Missouri before moving to Osawatomie in 1952. She attended Osawatomie High School.

After high school, Patricia went to Beauty school to become a cosmetologist. She married Thomas Junior Conrad on August 20, 1955 in Osawatomie, Kansas. Together they had three children Thomas M., Mark A. and Stacy Dru. They made their home in Osawatomie.

In 1966, Patricia opened her own hair salon. 38 years and two locations later, Patricia retired in 2004. While owning her own hair salon, Patricia also sold real estate. She sold for Platt Realty and J.C. Nichols which later was renamed Reece & Nichols.

Patricia and Tom moved to Garnett, Kansas in 2005 after retirement. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She and a friend had an antique booth at the Old Country Store in Osawatomie. When her sons were younger she was a den mother for their cub scouts. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the First United Methodist Church of Osawatomie.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 62 years Thomas of the home, children, Mike (Jennifer) Conrad of Kearney, MO, Mark (Toni) Conrad of Lee’s Summit, MO and Stacy Dru (Kenneth) Keast of Kansas City, MO. Seven grand Children, Christopher Conrad, Clint (Kaitlynn) Conrad, Cameron (Taylor Provow) Conrad, Megan (Justin) Trowbridge, Andrew (Michelle) Conrad, Sydney Dru Keast and Aaron Keast, three great grandchildren, Amelia Conrad, Riley Conrad and Thomas J. Trowbridge. Along with other family and friends.
