Patricia Ann Tate age 72 of Garnett, KS died Wednesday March 18, 2020 at her home.
Patricia was born November 15, 1947 in Amirillo, TX. She was the third of seven children born to Harold J. Morrison and Joann Duvall. She grew up in Coffeyville, KS and Dewey, OK. Graduating from Altamont High school.
After high school, Patricia worked at a restaurant. She met Jerry Tate and they were married in 1965 in Coffeyville, KS. Together they had three children Jerry Jr, Bryan and Tanya. The family moved to Hutchinson and Coffeyville before settling in Osawatomie in 1969.
Patricia mainly worked at home raising her children and as a house wife but she did work outside of the home at a wiring plant, Amazon, Firestone and the Locker Room.
In her free time, Patricia loved to bake. She was famous for her mayo cakes. She baked everything from scratch. Patricia also enjoyed sewing and making clothes. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt and foster parent. Patricia was very generous and always helped others. She was a member of the Pearl Street Baptist church of Paola.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Wayne Coffey and sister Betty Geise.
Survivors include children Jerry Tate Jr of Garnett, KS, Bryan Tate of Garnett, KS, Tanya Vennstra of Welda, KS and Joni Tate of Garnett, KS. Brothers Curtis Morrison of Coffeyville, KS and Johnny Bill Morrison of Westville, OK, sisters Anna Allen of Dunawig, MO, Debby Sjolander of Parsons, KS and Gloria Noblett of Coffeyville, KS. Twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Along with other family and friends.
