Patsy Ruth Gladfelder

Patsy Ruth Gladfelder age 88 of Osawatomie, KS died Saturday December 28, 2024 at Louisburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Patsy was born October 20, 1936 in Marceline, MO. She was the fifth of six children born to Clyde and Agnes Loraine (Morris) McGown. Patsy grew up in Marceline where she graduated with the Marceline High School class of 1955.
After school, Patsy went to work as a cook. Over the years, Patsy worked for a number of nursing homes and hospitals in the kitchens as a cook. In 2003, Patsy started with the Foster Grandparent Program. She volunteered at Swenson for 16 years until she retired in 2019.
Patsy enjoyed the Kansas City Chiefs, riding motorcycles and spending time with family. She was an avid reader and loved puzzles. Patsy was a member of the Let There Be Light Church in Osawatomie.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Gladfelder, children; Sherry Ross, Patty Sue Eastman, and Jerry Lee Sollis, grandson Logan Ogden, siblings; Gene McGown, Ray McGown, Mike McGown and Arahwana McGown.
Survivors include daughters; Rhonda Magee of Osawatomie, KS and Mary Ann Gorsage of Freeman, MO, sister Ann Lieber, grandchildren; Jeremy Sollis, Angela (Shane) Lea, Brandon (Heather) Gorsage, Becky (Dale) McGaughey, and Jennifer (Matt) Thompson, fourteen great grandchildren; Quinton, Jadeyn, Tatum, Destinee, Alicia, Xavier, Damion, Kora, Karson, Tallen, Kalie, Jordan, Zayden and Makadyn. She is also survived by numerous kids that knew her as “Grandma Patsy”.
