Paul Douglas "Doug" Watson... Age 60

Paul Douglas “Doug” Watson age 60 of Springfield, LA formerly of Spring Hill, KS died Friday December 20, 2019 at Richard Murphy Hospice House in Hammond, LA.

Doug was born June 17, 1959 in Paola, KS. He was the second of four children born to Bobby Lee & Lois E. (Coughlin) Watson. Doug grew up in Spring Hill where he attended school. Graduating with the Spring Hill High School class of 1977.

In 1978, Doug started driving a school bus in the Spring Hill school district for 10 years. He also roofed houses. He then went into the grocery business for over 26 years and worked in every department. He then started driving a school bus again for the Spring Hill School District.

Doug enjoyed fishing. His number one thing in his life was his family. He loved spending time with them. Loved watching sports.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Gary Watson and Michael Watson.

Survivors include daughters Monica and her husband Josh Steuber of Killian, LA and Sloan Boatman of Fort Smith, AR, sister Dr. Karesa L. Meek & her husband Omri R. Meek III of San Jose, CA, six grandchildren Griffen Pryor, Madison Watson, Elizabeth Steuber, Brenna Steuber, Emma Boatman, and Ezekiel Boatman and two great grandchildren McKinlee and Kinslee Pryor and Paisley Barnett on the way. Along with other family and friends.
