Philip Gary Lemon age 75 of Parker, KS died Friday March 14, 2018 at his home.

Philip was born September 25, 1942 in Anthony, KS. He was the 2nd of four children born to Luther Daniel and Blanch Lemon. He grew up in Coldwater, Kansas where he attended school. Graduating with the class of 1961.

He then enlisted into the United States Air Force. And was stationed in Japan. Where he met Chikuko Nishimoto. They were married July 29, 1966 in the American Embassy in Tokyo. Together the couple had two sons Richard and Michael.

Philip then transferred to Chanute, Illinois, and then Thailand until going back to Japan for eight years. The family then was stationed in Hawaii. After 21 years of service, Philip retired from the Airforce. He then took some time off to spend time with his family.

In 1986, Philip went to work as an inspector for the United States Customs. He had to go to training for six months and then took his first assignment in Calexico, CA. He and his family lived in Calexico for five years and then transferred to Montreal, Canada. His last assignment was in Washington, D.C. until retiring in 2003.  After retirement, Philip and Chikuko moved to Parker, KS, where they have made their home ever since.

Philip was the president of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of Greater Kansas City. He was also on the Board of Directors of Heart of American Kennel Club. For 20 years, Philip and Chikuko have been involved with show dogs and breeding. They had a love for animals and would rescue them.  In his spare time, Philip enjoyed woodworking. He made beautiful furniture and Adirondack chairs.

He was preceded in death by his son Richard C. Lemon his parents, and sister Phyllis Gaye Boley.

Survivors include wife of 51 year Chikuko of the home, son Michael Lemon of Parker, KS, brother Jack Lemon of Protection, KS and sister Connie (Richard) Spain of Topeka, KS. Along with other family and many friends.
