Randall Jay Crisler

Randall Jay “Randy” Crisler age 62 of Lane, KS died Thursday May 9th, 2024 at Olathe Medical Center.

Randy was born October 03, 1961 in North Kansas City, MO. He was the eldest of two, born to Larry L. and Janet Ann (Elder) Crisler. Growing up he attended Oak Park High School and graduated from Liberty Senior High in 1980.

After high school, Randy attended DeVry University where he graduated with honors and earned his Bachelor’s degree in IT.  He then went to work in Dental Technology at Black’s Dental Lab in Mission, KS. He worked for them for 14 years.

In his free time, Randy indulged in online gaming, where he created worlds and pursued quest in The Forgotten Realms. He  listen to a diverse palate of music; ranging from The Warning, Ozzy Osbourne/ Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Muse, Dream Theater, AC/DC, and Fleetwood Mac to name a few. Randy relished good food, especially spicy, and would go to great lengths to convince his daughter to remake it or stop to pick it up for him. He appreciated a good cup of coffee and dark beers. He enjoyed watching Baseball, Hockey, and Football.

In his later years, Randy was keen on researching and learning Hebrew and Spanish. He didn’t attend a church but he adamantly watch sermons and bible studies online from Bethel Church MO.

He was preceded in death by his son Channing May, his father Larry Crisler and Step-Father Lawrence Lloyd.

Survivors include his daughter Taylor Altman and husband Michael, step-sons Chad Groves and Seth Standley, his mother Janet Lloyd, sister Cheri Crisler, grandchildren; Aiden Driskell, Ivee May and Natalie Altman, nieces and nephews; Nicole Stewart (Levi), Laura Cox (Lawrence Bryant), Kaia Gabb and Brandon Stewart
