Rosalie Rues... Age 86

On January 5th, 2023, Rosalie Rues passed away at the age of 86 surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of her own home.

Rosalie lived a full and meaningful life. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, crafts, and spending time with family. She was a loving daycare provider for over forty years.

Rosalie will be remembered as a loving and selfless individual, who touched the lives of countless people with her kindness and generosity. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Rosalie is preceded by husband Ralph Rues parents Roy and Mary Smith of Parker Kansas, Five Brothers: Junior, Bob, Richie, Wiley & Wendell Smith, Two Sisters: Bettye Spector & Wanda Clark, Two Infant Children, Son-in-Law Dow Brummett, and many other Aunts, Uncles, Relatives & Friends.

Survived by Debbie Rues-Brummett, Peggy Brunson, Meagan Brummett, Kimberley Brummett, Bentley Brummett-King, Jessica Lane, Marcus LaCoursiere, Grand Dogs Vinnie & Gracie. One Brother Melvin Smith, Two Sisters: Mary Zimmerman & Evelyn Clearwater, and many Sisters/Brothers in Laws, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins & Friends.

The funeral will be held at Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home: 203 Main Osawatomie, KS 66064. On Saturday January 14th, 2023, at 11:00am the visitation with family will begin, followed by the funeral service starting at 11:30am. Burial at Highland Cemetery in Parker, KS following the funeral service. After graveside services, for those interested, we will be meeting for lunch and a celebration of life. Details will be provided at the funeral service.
