Scottie Jayne Kerns

Scottie Jayne (Crum) Kerns age 84 of Osawatomie, KS died Friday April 7, 2023 at North Point of Paola.

Scottie was born February 15, 1939 at home in Lenopah, OK in Nowata County. The daughter of James Ira and Martha Alberta (Shufeldt) Crum. She received her education in Lenopah School.

On August 24, 1955, Scottie married Floyd Efton Kerns in Bartlesville, OK. Together they had two children; Patricia and Terry. The marriage ended in May of 1965.

In December 1975, she moved to Hutchinson, KS. She attended Adle Hale Business School and received her GED. Scottie went to work at 1st National Bank. She worked there from 1977-1983. She then moved to Osawatomie and went to wrok at Mid Central Sysco at Olathe, KS.  Scottie retired December 13, 1992.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Patricia Ann Ridenour, son Terry Kerns, sisters Carolyn Jones, Charlotte Adams and Virginia Crum and brothers Larry Crum and Charles Crum.

Survivors include one grandson, Kerry Kerns, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
