Shani Yvonne Reeve... Age 55

Shani Yvonne Reeve was born July 20, 1967 in Wiesbaden, Germany to Billie Joe and Cheryl Dianne Reeve.  They resided there until 1969, before moving back to the Osawatomie, Kansas area.  Shani graduated from Osawatomie High School class of 1985 after being active in drill/cheer team, STUCO and the high school civic organization group.  In 1989, Shani moved to Huntington Beach, California where she enjoyed the sand, sun and beach for about the next 30 years.  She made lifelong friendships and was involved in many family activities there before moving to Lee’s Summit, MO in 2020.

​Shani was passionate about skin and hair care and maintained her esthetician and massage therapy licensesthroughout her adult life, including treating multiple players from the Anaheim Mighty Ducks hockey team and triathlonathletes.  In addition, she worked for multiple law offices in California and Kansas City as an Executive Legal Secretary.  Shani was very proud of her family and loved spending time with cousins, nieces, nephews and recently her great niece and nephews.  She loved animals, particularly the love of her life, her fur baby Natosha.

Shani passed away in her home December 28, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her father, Billie Joe Reeve; Mother, Cheryl Dianne Reeve; infant brother Billie Joe Reeve (II);nephews Dustin Michael Maimer and Daniel Blaine Maimer; maternal and paternal grandparents.  She is survived by sister Cheri (Mark) Maimer of Green Ridge, MO; Erica (Chris) Smith of Osawatomie, KS; Nephews Jacob Randall of Osawatomie, Ks and Wade Smith of Osawatomie, KS; Nieces Stephanie (Donald) Blackman of Osawatomie, KS and Kaytlin Smith of Pittsburg, KS; great nephews Keeton and Hudson Blackman and great niece Haven Blackman in addition to loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
