Shannon Dawn Renee McRae, age 33 of Paola, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday May 22, 2019 at her home.

Shannon was born December 9, 1985 in Nevada, Missouri. She was born to Michael Gene McRae and Beverly Renee Roberts. She grew up in Paola where she attended elementary, middle & some high school. Then, during high school, Shannon attended Shawnee Mission North High School and graduated with the Class of 2004. Shannon worked as a caregiver for most of her life at various jobs.

Shannon was a very compassionate and kind-hearted soul.  Animals were her true passion whether it was a dog, cat, raccoon, or squirrel! Shannon had a giving heart and she would do anything for anyone. She held all of her nieces and nephews very near and dear to her.  Shannon had a big personality and made it her goal to make people laugh every single day.

She was preceded in death by her step sister Laura Troncoso, her "Papa" James Roberts, Grandma Gloria Williams, Grandpa Valton McRae, Grandpa Robert Williams.

Survivors include her fur baby, Tuxedo, parents Renee and Randy Stickney of the home, Tracy and Michael McRae, Sr. of Texas, her siblings Kenneth West of Vicksburg, MS, Scott (Amanda) West of Paola, Ks, Mitch West of Edwards, MS, Dustin (Andrea) House of Shawnee, KS, Bryan (Leigh) House of Paola, KS, Regan (Kim) House of Paola, KS, Robbie (Stephanie) House of Shawnee, KS, Ryan (Brittany) Stickney of Parkville, MO, Michelle (Steve) Crow of Baird, TX, Joshua (Isaac) Conger of Fort Polk, LA, Hannah (William) Frerichs of Fort Hood, TX, Michael (Jamie) McRae of Hooks, TX, Bobbie (Evan) Huston of Daingerfield, TX, Michael (David) Scherrer of Florida, Brook Wallace of Bullhead City, AZ, and Thomas Miller of Asheville, NC, and an ABUNDANCE of nieces & nephews, as well as MANY other family and friends who called her their sister.
