Shirley Ann Law

Shirley Ann Law age 87 of Osawatomie, Kansas completed her earthly journey November 16, 2023 dying peacefully at her home surrounded by family.

Shirley was born February 16, 1936 in Wichita, Kansas. She was one of two children born to Roy William and Marguerite Marie (Weippert) Gillenwater. She moved to Osawatomie at the age of eight, graduating with the Osawatomie High School Class of 1954.

In 1954, Shirley went to work at the Osawatomie State Hospital. She then transferred to the Osawatomie Correctional Facility in 1987 and retired September 1, 1994.

Shirley married Gerald L. “Jerry” Law on October 1, 1955 at the United Methodist Church in Osawatomie. Together they had two sons; Gerald Christopher and Bryan Patrick. They made their home in Osawatomie until Jerry’s passing on April 4, 2002.

On December 9, 2008, Shirley and Gerald H. “Jerry” Kramer were united in marriage. They made their home in Osawatomie. Jerry passed April 24, 2021.

Shirley enjoyed reading, playing piano, dancing and water skiing. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Jerry Law and second husband Jerry Kramer, her son Gerald Christopher Law, her parents, and brother.

She is survived by her son and wife Bryan and Sheresa Law of Osawatomie, KS and one grandson Brandon Law.

Shirley requested that there be no services.
