Stanley “Buck” “Stan” Allan Morgan age 63, of Lacygne, KS died September 10, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas.
Buck was born January 15, 1954 in Holton, KS. He was the fourth of five children born to Lloyd D. and Evelyn Marie (Jones) Morgan He attended elementary school in Whiting, KS and high school at Paola High School, he acquired his GED some years later.
He worked for the boilermaker’s union for many years and drove a concrete truck. He helped build a nuclear power plant in Iowa. He drove truck for Geiger’s and Asplundh. He spent several years trimming tree tops and limbs for Asplundh. Buck was proud to tell people he went to help clean up after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 with Asplundh.
Buck was united in marriage to Debby Pritchard on March 30, 1972. Together they had one son Jeremy who was born on April 17, 1973 and they made their home in Paola. The marriage later ended in divorce. In October of 2004, Michelle Collins and Buck were united in marriage and from this marriage, Sturgis Morgan was born December 17, 2004. Michelle and Buck’s marriage ended in divorce some years later.
Buck was the life of the party. He never forgot a joke and loved to kid around with his boys, nieces and nephews. Buck loved spending time fishing with Jeremy and they could often be found at the ball park playing baseball. Sturgis spent as much time as possible with his dad. They were always spending summers at the lake lots at Tanglewood Lake. Buck also loved to ride his motorcycles all the time. He owned a few motorcycles over the years, the last being his Honda Shadow.
Buck was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Barbara Johann.
He is survived by his two children Jeremy Morgan of Pleasanton, KS and Sturgis Morgan, of Woodstock, IL, brother Steve Morgan, of Osage City, KS, sisters Marsha Harrison, of Osage City, KS and Dixie Rosner of Pomona, KS. Along with nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
