Teresa Delynne Purinton-Gates.... Age 60

Teresa Delynne Purinton-Gates age 60 of Osawatomie, KS died Thursday December 1, 2022 at Louisburg Healthcare and Rehab.

Teresa was born October 19, 1962 in Sedalia, MO. She was the eldest of two born to Burnice Lee and Betty (Lear) Johnston. Teresa grew up in Ft. Osage, Missouri. After high school, she attended Metropolitan Community College and earned her associates degree in accounting.

On June 27, 2014, Teresa and Jeffery Gates were united in marriage in Overland Park, KS. The lived in Overland Park until 2020 when they moved to Osawatomie.

Teresa worked for Tower Products as an accountant for a number of years. In her free time, she loved collecting Fenton glassware.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband Jeff of the home, daughter Megan Serafin of Fort Walton Beach, FL, son Jonathan Purinton of the home and step daughter Hanna Gates of Eudora, KS. Her mother Betty Johnston, her brother Bert Johnston, grandchildren; Natalie, Katherine, Caleb, Brentley and Grayson. Along with other family and friends.
