Vada Ann Miller age 70 of Osawatomie, KS died Sunday April 23, 2017 at Lifecare Center of Osawatomie.
Vada was born July 4, 1946 in Bethany, Missouri. She was the third of four children born to Elby Lee Jr. and Mildred Minne (Smith) Magee. She grew up in Overland Park, Kansas where she attended Milbourn Junior High.
After school Vada married and had three children David, Timothy and Joseph. She began working at Thriftway grocery store in Overland Park. She worked in the bakery. Vada also waitressed for a while. Then Vada’s parents owned an apartment complex and she got a job managing the apartments. In the early 80’s Vada moved to the Osawatomie area. Her last job before retiring was a cashier at the Price Chopper.
Vada loved to sew anything but quilts she liked the most. She traveled with her sister and brother in-law all over the United States. She liked to travel on motorcycles. Vada was a member of the Rutlader Outpost Cowboy Church. She enjoyed bible studies.
She was preceded in death by her parents and younger sister Dixie Helt.
She is survived by her sons David (Cheryl) Terry of Overland Park, KS, Timothy Terry of Kansas City, KS and Joseph Terry of Lee’s Summit, MO. Four grandchildren Caleb Terry, Elisabeth Fernandez, Noah Rider Terry and Jessica Martinez. Brother Elby Magee of Beagle, KS and sister Sandra Wilson of Paola, KS. Along with other family and friends.
