Wanda May Gabhart

Wanda McGohon Gabhart, age 85 of Osawatomie, Kansas passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024. She was born on May 19, 1939 to the late John (Jack) Overton McGohon and Aline Elizabeth Greer McGohon. She was a graduate of Lebanon High School in Marion County, KY. She received her teaching certificate from the University of KY and taught at St. Augustine in Lebanon, KY following graduation. She taught for a number years in Kansas.
Mrs. Gabhart was married in May, 1962 to Chester Glenn Gabhart, who preceded her in death on September 23, 2023. Mrs. Gabhart was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashley Hess Smith on November 18, 2022; brothers, Isaac, Bill, and Jack McGohon; sisters, Betty Jarboe and Marvelle Mattingly.
Survivors include her daughters: Donja Cole and Kimberly Ann Hess; grandchildren: David Cain, Anthony Hess, Joe Cain, and Alicia Berry (Corey); her great grandchildren: Uriah Cain, Olivia Lynn Hess, Cailyn Edyn Berry, Azlyn Dawsyn Berry, Lily Cain, Owen Anthony Hess, Coda Brix Berry.Wanda McGohon Gabhart, age 85 of Osawatomie, Kansas passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Funeral services will be held at Eddy Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie on December 27, 2024 at 12:00 p.m.
