William Michael “Billy” Calovich age 42 of Virginia Beach, VA died Monday August 12, 2019 in Norfolk, VA.

Billy was born January 13, 1977 in Paola, KS. He was born to Richard and Flora (Freeman) Calovich. He grew up and went to school in Virginia. Bill graduated from Floyd E. Kellam high school, Virginia Beach Virginia. He then went on to attend classes at Germanna Community College in Fredericksburg Virginia and Tidewater Community College in Norfolk Virginia.

Bill then became a father of his beautiful daughter Mila. She became the center of his world. His favorite thing was to spend time with Mila. They would go to the Zoo and on outings.

Over the years Bill had different jobs. He worked in a movie theatre that showed old movies and foreign films. Bill worked in car auction dealership and as a cook. Bill even once held a job as a courier for an organ donor service.

Bill was a true Bohemian. He loved arts of all forms. He enjoyed going to music festivals and loved music in general. Bill was fun loving, generous and young at heart. He still skateboarded. Bill was very mechanical. He would take things apart just to put them back together. He was also very computer savvy.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Tony & Helen Calovich, maternal grandmother Donna Freeman and Uncle Billy Calovich.

Survivors include daughter Mila Jade Calovich, father Richard Calovich of Paola, KS, mother Flora McDowell of Virginia Beach, VA, Step-father Pat McDowell of Fort Worth, TX, Maternal grandpa Everett (Nancy) Freeman of Conway, AR. Brother Brandon (Abby Palmer) McDowell, sisters Crystal (Brian) Carnes and Katie (Mike) McClung, Uncles Jeff (Sara) Freeman of Topeka, KS, Bud (Gloria) Calovich of Branson, MO, Aunts Donna (Gary) McCoy of Osawatomie, KS, Glora Kramer of Osawatomie, KS and Cheri (Mike) Fultz of Florida. Along with many cousins, other family and friends.
