William Leroy Bowers.... Age 58

William Leroy “Bill” Bowers age 58 of Richmond, KS died Monday April 8, 2019 at Ransom Memorial Hospital.

Bill was born September 8, 1960 in Carson City, NV. He was the youngest of three children born to Albert Leonard jr and Barbara Ann (Nye) Bowers. He grew up in Normand, Oklahoma where he attended school.

After school, Bill started his life long career as a Plumber. He started out with his dad but then shortly moved out on his own. Bill continued in the plumbing business until he retired. On June 18 1982, Bill and Susan Branson were united in marriage in Tulsa, OK. Together the couple had five children, Misty, Albert, Billy,Robert and Amy. They made their home in Olathe, Osawatomie and then landed in Richmond.

Bill loved his family more than anything. You could always call him if you needed something. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  Bill liked to have fun. Any chance he could get he would have a drink with his children and family. His life was built around his children and their friends. He was a father figure to his children’s friends. In his free time, Bill rode his Harley Davidson with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and sister Albert l Bowers jr, Kathleen E Steadman.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Susan of the home, children Misty (James) Harms of Halstead, KS, Albert (Victoria) Bowers IV of Weaubleau, MO, Billy (Keli) Bowers of Osawatomie, KS,  Robert Bowers of Galmey, MO and Amy (Christopher) Keele of Galmey, MO. Mother Barbara A. Bowers of Richmond KS, brother Albert L. Bowers III of Colorado Springs, CO, Roger Mills who was like a brother. Thirteen grandchildren and a loving dog Scooter. Along with many family and many friends.
